- Agriculture remains Idaho’s largest natural resource based industry and has a long successful heritage, particularly in grain production in northern Idaho.
- The opportunities look tremendous for this new type of food barley, both for export as well as for largely untapped domestic markets.
This last year, the U.S. sold its first shipment of this BGLife food barley to Japan, and all of it was sourced from Idaho, and mostly from an area just north of Lewiston (Genesee).
