A simple take along treat. Very similar to a product used in the USDA clinical trial that showed the cholesterol reducing capability of barley. Add a half a cup of your favorite whole grain ready-to-eat cereal for variety.

Directions In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients except Heart Balance Cereal and cook over medium heat. Let boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat and stir in Heart Balance Cereal.

Lightly grease a 9 inch x 13 inch pan and press mixture into pan. Allow to sit and harden or place in refrigerator. Cut into 2 inch x 2 inch squares.
